Season 5
Prepare for the final chapter in the epic saga! Season 5 of SGA re-introduces us to old friends, old enemies and old annoying people who could be friends if they knew their way around Pegasus Base.
Look out for Stargate favourites Paul McGillion and Michael Shanks and Star Trek: DS9’s Nicole de Boer.
With Robert Picardo’s Woolsey now heading up Pegasus, the Stargate team have to deal with an ill-fitting cog in the machine - whilst being threatened by unimaginable enemies.
Astonishing episodes like The Daedalus Variations, First Contact, Brain Storm and Vegas lead us on what is a truly satisfying adventure that will take the Atlantis all the way back to its original home.
If you're new to SGA:
An international team of scientists and military personnel discover a Stargate network in the Pegasus Galaxy and come face-to-face with a new, powerful enemy, The Wraith.
As they explore the distant Pegasus galaxy, the Atlantis Expedition encounters great challenges, great friends — and great foes. Often, their adventures begin in their home base, Atlantis itself, a city built thousands of years ago by the highly evolved and mysterious Ancients. Atlantis is a treasure trove of strange technology, all of it wondrous and some of it downright lethal.
The city is also linked to countless planets and human civilizations throughout the galaxy via the Ancients' network of stargates. The team confronts terrible dangers as they travel among these foreign stars. The Wraith, who feed on human life, dream of one day seizing Atlantis as a gateway to the rich feeding grounds of Earth. More recently, the Asuran Replicators — artificial life forms once created and then abandoned by the Ancients — have become determined to claim Atlantis as their rightful home … at any cost.
The Stargate: Atlantis team is run by diplomat Elizabeth Weir. Working beside her is Lt. Col. John Sheppard (Joe Flanigan), the team's gifted military commander and undisputed best pilot. Two Pegasus-galaxy natives add their special perspectives to the group: Teyla Emmagan (Rachel Luttrell), the caring and quick-witted leader of the Athosian people; and Ronon Dex (Jason Momoa), a warrior who lost his home and family to the Wraith. The expedition's new chief of medicine, Dr. Jennifer Keller (Jewel Staite) finds her quiet confidence tested by the alien wonders of the Pegasus galaxy.
Last but certainly not least, Dr. Rodney McKay (David Hewlett), a brilliant but prickly astrophysicist, butts heads with all of them — but only to hide how much he cares for them.

Saturn Loves Apes, AEAF Gives Gold to Prometheus It’s months away until Hollywood’s award season goes into hyperdrive but the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films likes to celebrate all things genre a little early. Starring Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Ron Perlman, Rose McGowan, Rachel Nichols Director Marcus Nispel Release Aug 18 Rated MA 15+ From the moment Morgan Freeman's dulcet tones begin narrating the introduction to Conan The Barbarian, you know this film is not messing around. The approach is deadly serious, with a few nods to the original, and a few winks to the audience, but there is no lighthearted...
Sheppard and Weir become a threat to Atlantis when their minds are taken over by a pair of hostile aliens.
It wasn't that long ago that a single photo of a shirtless Jason Momoa set the internet on high squee. Conan the Barbarian fever has returned, this time in the guise of a teaser trailer. The question as to whether this reinvention of the classic Robert E. Howard character will be little more than a low budget movie of the week knock off or a modern day megablockbuster seems to be still unanswered,...
