Meet Alastair Brown:

Although Al claims to have been born in a cross-fire hurricane, he was actually born in the United Kingdom and came into the world with a pencil in one hand and a rolled up issue of Spider-Man in the other (yes, it was a difficult delivery). Al has unhealthy obsessions with the following: crime noir, the work of Neil Gaiman, Batman, corn chips, movies where Bruce Willis beats up terrorists. He has never said ‘lol’ out loud, not even ironically.

 

Sonya's first exposure to comics was the funnies page in the Sunday paper. From there she delved into the wonderful world of comic books and graphic novels and has never looked back. When it comes to picking favourite writers and artists, the list is always changing, but regular guests are Darwyn Cooke, Neil Gaiman, Dave McKean, Jeff Loeb and Alejandro Jodorowsky. She's a Gothamite at heart, but loves taking road trips to all the weird and wonderful places the comic world has to offer. And just between you and me, she still has a soft spot for Garfield.
