Elisabeth Sladen, The Doctor's Sarah Jane Smith, Has Died
Sad news for all Doctor Who fans today. Elisabeth Sladen, has died at the age of 63, of cancer. Sladen was universally loved for her role as Doctor Who companion Sarah Jane Smith, starring between 1973 and 1976, opposite Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. Born in Liverpool, she also starred in The Sarah Jane Adventures. Sladen had been battling cancer for some time and leaves actor husband Brian Miller and daughter Sadie.
