The Electric Playground Coming To SCI FI Dec 1!

Time to get excited!

One of the most respected entertainment shows on the planet is coming Down Under. Victor Lucas and the crew from The Electric Playground will be beaming every day on SCI FI and online, for Australian viewers.

We've had a chat with Victor, who is creator, producer and presenter of the show, and he's even more excited than us.

If you don't know The Electric Playground, it's a daily half hour show about what's cool to people like you and me. With a strong focus on games and gaming culture, it also takes in a broader scope of the Geekiverse, covering Sci Fi Movies, TV shows, music and comic books.

The great thing about The Electric Playground is that the presenters aren't just mouthpieces - they create their own segments, and deliver them from all over North America. Victor Lucas and Briana McIvor co-present in Vancouver, Jose 'Fubar' Sanchez loves comics in San Francisco, Miri Jedeikin covers the movie biz from Los Angeles and Shaun Hatton goes all gamey from Toronto. They really do know their stuff, and have the kind of access we here in SCI FI PI-land can only dream about.

The show has been a Canadian staple since 1997, and will soon bring its experience and knowledge every day to SCI FI Australia, in the prime time of 8pm. If you want to catch up with everything that's going on everywhere, every day, you'll be able to tune in to The Electric Playground on air, online in Spectrum, and on your phone.

Stay tuned for more details and updates, and our candid Skype interview with Victor Lucas. Does he love his games? Does he love his Sci Fi? You BET he does. Australia, get ready to meet a kindred spirit.

December 1, 8pm. Book it.

Your hosts, Briana and Victor, are keen for you to join them in The Electric Playground.

lost girl has people you like how many can u like in defiance I really don't like any of them so far its like stargate universe if you stop caring about them you just stop caring whether it gets cancelled or not. I took in an old episode of stargate the other day its chalk and cheese u really route for the cast not to mention its well defined bad guys. If defiance got nuked next episode would you care for the cast or cheer that something interesting has happened

The idea that the cast and plot is slowly introduced may be fine for a costume drama that crawls along but sf should grab you from the get go. After 5 hours are we any wiser about anything?

You know what? I like it. Deal with that.
