What's On This Week Aug 9 - 15

This week sees some good news for Sanctuary fans - the Season 1 reboot is switching to double episodes!

Get twice as much Sanctuary, all at once, starting this Sunday the 15th at 6pm. It's the perfect time for the twice as much monster-mashing fun.

SANCTUARY - SEASON 1: Sundays at 6pm.

Missed Sanctuary the first time around? Never fear, Dr Helen Magnus is here! Join Amanda Tapping and her talented cast as they explore the world of monsters that can both help and harm humanity. It's not all kill or be killed - in fact it's far more complicated than that in this sophisticated show about the netherworlds that surround what 'normal' people think of as reality. Join in the fun every Sunday night at 6pm!

If it's cold and awful during Sunday, take time off by taking time on the couch with all new SCI FI episodes of The 4400.

THE 4400 - SEASON 4:Sundays at 2pm

The fight for the future is heating up as Jordan Collier and his followers annex a run-down part of Seattle, dubbing it 'Promise City'. It's the first move that will escalate into a face-off with the government - and they're willing to send in an army of soldiers to bring him down. Will it become a fortress to fight for The 4400, or their tomb? Find out as Season 4 unfolds!

For the very best in Sci Fi action and adventure, tune in to the latest SCI FI episodes of Stargate Atlantis, Season 4.

STARGATE ATLANTIS - SEASON 4 PREMIERE EPISODES CONTINUE: Fridays at 7.30pm

As Stargate Atlantis' best season hots up, it's time to be on the look out for the Replicators. They're baaaaack, and they're not too happy about how things ended last time, what with the nuclear bombs and all. Truly one of the most exciting, action packed and surprise-filled storylines in all of Stargate history will now be unleashed, with the unexpected return of some old friends to help out. Make sure you catch up with all new Season 4 episodes every Friday night!

Monday nights are suitably Heroic, with Heroes Season 3 building up to its climactic finale on August the 30th.

HEROES, SEASON 3: Mondays at 7.30pm

Sylar is building up his powers beyond the point where he can be stopped and it's going to take something very special from all the Heroes to stop him. As 'Fugitives' draws to a close, he picks up yet another ability that will see him a hair away from becoming the President of the United States. And a psychopathic skull-dissecting maniac is not the kind of person one needs in a commander-in-chief. Make sure you keep watching Heroes in August!

G6. I owe you. I remember seeing Icerigger (couldnt remember the name but remembered the front cover) decades ago, but couldnt identify it to buy it. I have just bought the Kindle version of the first and second of the series. I'll check out if the human bear is a cousin or an interloper. Much appreciated G6.

ps I also loved Enemy Mine despite it being panned by critics and still get a tear in my eye with the final scene where the human's adopted alien son/daughter is presented in a ceremony on the child's world incorporating the human's name in the lineage. Top story.
