Haven't we already had Indiana Jones series about his past?....The adventures of young Indiana Jones and Chronicles...I liked S.P.Flannery as Indie but wasn't quite fond of the series. I also remember "Relic hunter" with Tia Carrere as "before Lara Croft" female role model. Actually W13 quite reminds me of Relic Hunter's entertaining and interesting plotlines with light humor mixed with a great chemistry going between two main characters. While W13 will never be between my top 10 scifi shows, I'm always having fun watching it and don't go crazy if I miss an episode or two.

"I do enjoy the creativity employed by W13's writers with their artefacts."

I thought the artifacts were a little concentrated in time and geography, but then again everytime I see W13 I keep seeing the ending of Raiders of the Lost Ark, so I'm primed for worldwide ancient mythology.

Yes that series was made. But one could have an Indiana style character, set in whatever time period, at whatever age one wanted.

I can see the similarities, though Relic Hunter got out more didn't it?
