What impressed me most was the flying sequences, some only metres off the ground going gang busters (of course in reality it was a model on a tight string, but it looks pretty snazzy. And did you like the fight scene every episode where no one gets hurt except if they are shot. There are three other serials made called 'King of the Rocketmen', 'Zombies of the Stratosphere' and 'Commando Cody, Sky Marshall of the Universe'. Yep they are all much the same and a hoot, but they only call him Commando Cody in two of the serials and the rocketman or anothername in the others. Buts the same character Another rather clever old Scifi set of serials worth catching up with is 'Rocky Jones, Space Ranger' Was a short lived TV series in the early 50's and probably aimed at kids given there is an irritating kid in it. But the stories and effects for its time for TV are quite amazing. The show was dropped because it was costing way above budget. But you can get the ful series on one DVD from Amazon cheaply.
The thing I really like is the lap sash seat belts in the rocket ships. The use of a pencil and compass for navigation
Well I can honestly say I'm really enjoying watching Radar men from the moon: introducing commando cody. Bear it's awesome...I don't mind it being in black and white and the car belts for the rocket ship to the moon (which trip lasted 30secs) are a hoot. Overall I think it's epic and I'm glad I've got it :)
