Ahh Mr Eddie, you seem to have me confused with the other Topher that actually works at SF. I am just a lurker that has been here since 2007 and posts here irregularly and was watching all the garbage that went on a few months ago.
Anyway, I said all I wanted to say in the other thread so thats all.
ZV, isnt it about time you got over your butt-hurt and just stayed away if you dont like these forums? Right now you are acting about as mature as MS3 by constantly spamming the advertising for your little forum over here..
I managed to keep well away from all the MS3 controversy by not responding to anything related to it, but the people that complained when SF wouldnt delete their posts as well as MS3's just showed that they were butt-hurt and then asking for an apology was even more laughable.
These forums are the property of SF and they have the right to manage them as they like. I'm not saying they do the job well, but thats up to them. Its not as if any rights to free speech apply on privately owned forums.
You are spoiling it for the people that do want to be here which I believe was the main complaint about MS3.
Yeah, agreed that Continuum is much better than Lost Girl.
I'm not sure why Continuum was bumped due to Lost Girl being "moved" to January when SF announced on their Twiitter feed 12 weeks ago that Lost Girl would be airing in January (it was on the SF home page via the Twittter feed) whereas Continuum was only announced around 30 days ago.
With BSG, as far as I know, its just the 2003 mini-series that has been scheduled so far as that hasnt aired on SF before. I was just hoping that they would follow it up by airing all 4 series and specials in order afterwards. I have to disagree that they should skip the "slower" episodes as if they are going to air something, they may as well air all episodes chronologically.
Jerry Cornelius wrote:Hey VT2VX - thanks for the concern; with something like this the fact that I've been able to share the news with you means that contracts are signed, so all good!
Jerry, you mentioned in an earlier post that Continuum will be airing in January 2013 and this post says all the contracts are signed but Continuum isnt mentioned at all in the January promos that are airing now. I would have thought that this would be something you would be heavily advertising in the promos.
Please tell us this just isnt another failed promise by SF! The Captain previously teased us with lots of coming shows that never eventuated.
I did notice that January brings the 2003 BSG mini-series which is great news and I hope you will follow it up with re-airing of all 4 seasons as its been a while since BSG aired on SF.
Although IMDB states that it is rumoured the villain is going to be Khan, i'm not sure that it will be.
The available plot states:
"When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis." http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1408101/
Khan wasnt from Star Fleet so couldnt be from within their own organisation. Some people say that their guess would be Gary Seven, Garth of Izar or Matt Decker but i'm not sure yet myself as there isn't enough information to decide.
No, it wasnt extended. It was renewed for a 13 episode 5th and final season in April 2012. Season 5 is somewhat shorter than previous seasons as the last couple of seasons were 22 episodes.
I'm sad as this is/was a great show and I was disappointed when I heard it was only a shortened 13 episode season :(
Episode 8 of Fringe Season 5 will be airing on Fox in the US, December 7 and is titled "The Human Kind". Episode 13, will air on January 18 2013 and is the 100th and final episode of Fringe to bring everything to an unfortunate end for us, the viewers.
I just checked the Foxtel online TV Guide and on Sunday 27 October we have Robocop 2 scheduled (the week after Robocop 1). Its good to see SF actually bringing us something new even if it is only one movie per week.
If only they would start to look at all the abysmal programming that's on the rest of the time.
