Looking forward to this one? It's a fine blend of horror, comedy and action. Anyone else keen?

Looks ok i think, or so the rumours go. But not really a sci fi topic...

Neither is this one but its more my sorta non sci fi thing.

I have now seen the candy coated carnage that is this film. I can say it was like medieval Grimm meets the walking dead for carnage. Very messy at times. The storyline was thin but still fun to watch. Famke Jensen seemed to relish the role of the main witch and it looked like they had a ball making the film. The 3D was good with arrows and bullets flying at you but still gave me a bit of a headache. All in all, it's a dvd kinda film.

Somehow just doesnt seem to appeal to me. May watch it if it ends up in Foxtel, but I suspect I would be cheering for the witches.

I'll likewise wait until it comes up on subscription television. Still, I wonder if I'll make it through more than 20 minutes? The recent crop of traditional fairy tales "re-imagined" as action movies generally haven't impressed me.

Snow White and the Huntsman is probably the best of the bunch. Red Riding Hood was okay, Hansel and Gretel is hovering in the middle. Grimm is still the best.

Are they doing one on the Three Little Pigs?

Red Riding Hood lost me at the "rave" scene.
