For instance, today we'll be looking back at that old cult favorite show Firefly, the gone-too-soon vestige of Joss Whedon's genius. If you haven't already seen Firefly, I strongly recommend you watch the show; you'll love every minute.
But for those of you who have already seen and loved the space western, check this out: Han Solo made several appearances. In fact, you might say that he was a fixture on the show.
If you're scratching your head over that one, let me direct you to the blog Geek with Curves, which showcases a little-known easter egg that's popped up throughout Firefly's short run.
Apparently, everyone's favorite nerf-herder popped up all over the Serenity in miniature form, frozen in carbonite as he was in both The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi (parts of them, at least). Not only does the Corellian scoundrel appear in Kaylee's bedroom, but in the Serenity's kitchen, and even in a bar in the episode "Jaynestown."
Now that's cool. Frozen, in fact. (That was a pun. Laugh! Laugh! Crack a smile, at least.)
If you're wanting more of a Firefly fix, Fringe's upcoming January 21 episode is titled "Firefly" in honor of its fellow FOX genre cult classic.
Ham Solo.
I'm beginning to think that Adam Carolla might have been on the inside track ...
To tie-in with the 10th anniversary of Firefly, Titan Book has collected together the three Firefly Official Companion volumes. This huge, 544 page, hardcover book "is presented in a foil-stamped leather-effect binding with additional behind-the-scenes material from the cult show".
